军队参加后备役军官训练军团 is the premier 领导 development course on campus today and accounts for nearly 70% of the Army’s Officers. The 领导 training received can form the foundation for a career in or out of the Army. Not all students that participate in ROTC have plans to serve as Officers. Students may take up to two years of ROTC without committing to the Army.

军队参加后备役军官训练军团 is comprised of Basic Course for freshmen and sophomores and Advanced Course for juniors and seniors.
Basic Course studies Army History, Army organization and structure, techniques and principles of 领导 and management, 地图阅读, 演习及仪式, 还有军事习俗. There is no obligation for Cadets enrolled in Freshman and Sophomore level classes.
Advanced Course focuses on tactical operations, 军事指令, advanced techniques of management, 领导, 和命令.

Whether you’re a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, 军队参加后备役军官训练军团 has scholarships available. 奖学金 are awarded based on a student’s merit and grades, not financial need.
- 有两个, 三个, and four year scholarship options based on time remaining to complete your degree.
- Full tuition and fees scholarship.
- Additional $1,200 allowance for books and fees.
- Georgetown College provides free room and board scholarships for students receiving full tuition through ROTC.
Cadets also receive a monthly Living Allowance. This stipend is tax-free and increases each year you are enrolled in ROTC, from $300/month as a freshman to $500/month as a senior. This allowance is also available to all non-scholarship Cadets enrolled in the 军队参加后备役军官训练军团 Advanced Course
National Guard at the same time. It gives you an opportunity for additional training and experience. Cadets serve as Officer Trainees in the Reserve or National Guard while completing their college degree. You can earn Reserve/Guard pay and benefits in addition to your 军队参加后备役军官训练军团 allowances. SMP Cadets have the ability to compete for Active Duty commissions or have the choice to pursue a commission in the Army Reserves or Army National Guard, upon commissioning from ROTC.
Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP)
The Simultaneous Membership Program allows you to attend 军队参加后备役军官训练军团 and serve in the United States Army Reserve or Army National Guard at the same time. It gives you an opportunity for additional training and experience. Cadets serve as Officer Trainees in the Reserve or National Guard while completing college. You can earn Reserve/Guard pay and benefits in addition to your 军队参加后备役军官训练军团 allowances. SMP Cadets have the ability to compete for Active Duty commissions or have the choice to pursue a commission in the Army Reserves or Army National Guard, upon commissioning from ROTC.

Advanced Course students receive physical fitness training on the Georgetown College campus and are required to attend ROTC class and 领导 lab on the 肯塔基大学 campus.

Leader's 培训 Course
This course is for those college students who want to complete 军队参加后备役军官训练军团 training in two years. 资格, you must complete a challenging and motivating 28-day training program at Fort Knox, 肯塔基州. Upon completion of LTC, the graduates return to campus prepared to enter the Advanced Course.

If you are a full-time student at Georgetown College, contact the Registrar to see which Military Science class to sign up for. Some students may be eligible for placement credit based upon prior military training or JROTC in high school. Contact 军队参加后备役军官训练军团 to see what options may be available to you. Keep in mind that we produce Officers for the Active Army and the National Guard and Reserves. It is important that you weigh all of your options before making a decision.
